Aaaah I KNEW that was a 1GB DSM! Couldn't even see the power hump I just know that DSMer's generally have the most stones to do side or hood exit exhausts...that and the mirrors. And the mass of extra engine blocks and parts lying about. And I have a 1GB. When you can pickup a 12 second car for about a grand why not?....Just noticed your name was Landspeed DSM. Dammit I wanted to do that. Do you remember the stock drag coefficient? How fast have you gone/ going for? What is your flat undertray made of and where does it mount? What Turbo? Familiar with Punishment racing parts they're not far from me.

Stock Cd is .29. Waiting on next year's rulebook before deciding on an undertray/wheel well vents and other proper aero besides the front cover mask/ducting and rear bumper diffuser ports. BGT class may allow it, P/SC would not as it stands.

Don't have an official speed yet, but I will say it only takes about 530whp as equipped to do 200mph on the short course (3-5 miles) goal is to hit mid/upper 220s and retire. In my engine category, both classes have records approaching 230mph as it stands.

Turbo is a 71mm/98mm Compressor Holset in Divided "T5" Turbine housing (16cm^2 Nozzle area) which is expected to be good for just shy of 1000whp on full boogie. New setup is getting dyno'd on wastegate pressure tonight. Should be interesting how it does on low boost.

W000t thats awesome post a video on Oppo an show em DSMer's still don't fuck around. That would actually be a great writeup you should detail some of it here if you haven't already er on dsmtuners.com which I don't actualy frequent as much because the shop that has my dsm and the new bb garrett turbo have been taking their time.

The rule classes are interesting I would think allowing for a flat undertray is at least a little safer/ more stable?

I would like to post a video from tonight, but since its only on wastegate spring pressure, likely not going to full redline and no 1/4 mile or other runs yet I don't know if I'll post it.. unless it makes considerably more than expected.

I prefer to have actual results! It's the same reason there's no build thread on the car even though I frequent Tuners, Link, NABR, YB etc.

Nobody wants to hear some guy going "It could've done more with the boost turned up!" Which I tend to agree with.

So, what's your build up like? Goals?

That's why I don't post anything either, no one wants to hear "Well like the rest of you sad sacks of DSM I just have a bunch of awesome parts and need to repalce the headliner with mice living in it first before anything." ..I blame myself as much as the garage its kept at for that but its not like I can throw money at them to hurry up or complain they don't charge me to keep it there for months or years now on end....anyway.

The rebuild by a previous owner had it bored .20 over with a mild 3 angle valve job, previously with a big 16G ported & clipped, ported evo 3 manifold and downpipe @20psi 3" custom magnaflow exhaust, dejon super sidemount intercooler I'm keeping cuz I likes to be sneaky. I'm just adding a boost referenced methanol system.

New 660 flow matched injectors and your standard walboro 255 and fuelab fpr.

The turbo that's been sitting in my closet until recently is the last generation SBR G50 (T3/4) with a garett dual ball bearing center cartridge I picked up on Tuners. Just got the oil restrictor and ffwd copper gaskets to make it a reality.

I'll keep the same 20psi I think and see what that gets me first with the sidemount and methanol...don't think I've ever heard of anyone not going with a big front mount so I'm curious to see what happens. I'd be happy to have you speculate for me what kinda power that would make haha.

I would like to convert it to purely rally duties some day...I bought Hella Black magic 1000's I've yet to mount just because rally is my groove and I knew a Cornell Professor who SCCA road rally'd his red DSM with Hella's and it looked great.

Mine went from red, to scion silver now to Jaguar British Racing Green X green pearl I had painted by vocational students. It looks like a pimped out drift car in the sunlight but regular BRG in overcast
